My Heavy Heart

This is the finished product of the girl (me), with the hair turning into roots, a plant growing out of the heart, floating above fish and waves, and the birds carrying the heartstrings.

Thesis

I had my thesis show last Friday, this is a shot of the installation. I would like to thank my friend Ruby for the photos!

Heavy Hearts Smash The Atom, Stand Silent

So I've come a long way since my last post. I added a ton to this piece: fish, birds, shoelaces, hat, finished the hair roots. Now I just have to figure out how the heck I'm going to hang it in the museum! Probably a ton of wire. I cannot believe my show is in less than two weeks! This semester has gone by so fast, but I am so stoked to see it all come together.

Honeycombs and Girl

Hello All,
So I took some pictures yesterday of the honeycombs all together on the wall. Check it out!

I am also working on this new piece, its me lying down with a plant growing out of my heart. The whole thing is hand sewn, but still not finished just yet. The heart is removable, and the hair is turning into roots which will continue onto the floor.

So I am starting this movement/ fabric book called "Crusade for Crust." The book will include images (such as these) of pie, pizza, quiche, earths crust, croissants, crustaceans, crust punks, etc. Everything that has a crust! There is an etsy store also in the making that will be titled "Crusade for Crust" in which I will have patches, buttons, and all sorts of fun stuff for sale. This is the beginnings of my book.
